Konami Jack High Cup Day
In order for the Jack High Cup Team to reach its aim of raising $10,000 for The Make a Wish Foundation, this years competition will be open to ALL member Clubs of Clubs SA. All newcomers to the competition are welcome, but spaces are limited to only 36 teams so get in quick! The 2010 Competition will be bringing with it some more changes, including the choice of 3 categories to compete in on the day, each with its own trophy. More info >

Industry News
Clubs SA wins grant from Employers Mutual
Clubs SA recently received funding approval to provide member Clubs with free OH&S training, development of an on-line OH&S training tool and DVD, and individual Club audits. Employers Mutual have awarded this grant to support the successful production of the 2009 Clubs SA/Employers Mutual Volunteer Club OH&S Manual.
LCITF Appointment - Training Manager
The Licensed Club Industry Training Foundation (LCITF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Malloy to the position of 'Training Manager'. Paul has a hospitality and training background spanning over 25 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the LCITF. Paul will be working towards increasing the number of courses offered by the LCITF and providing quality training solutions for the Club industry.
Final Report Released from Productivity Commission - Gambling

Discussion Paper for Liquor Licensing Amendments
On 3 December 2009 the Minister for Consumer Affairs and the Attorney-General announced a review of the Liquor Licensing Act focused on measures to reduce alcohol-related crime and antisocial behaviour in and around licensed premises in entertainment areas.
A Discussion Paper has now been released, canvassing a range of options for discussion and inviting input from various relative industry bodies.
