Winners Announcement
On Saturday the 12th of November Clubs SA held their Gala Dinner for the 2011 Awards of Excellence for the Licensed Club Industry in South Australia. Held in the Panasonic Pavilion, within Morphettville Racecourse, the event was a fantastic success. There were more guests in attendance than in the last 12 years, a reflection of new categories and submission processes introduced this year.

CLUBS SA 2011 PRESIDENTS CITATION
The Presidents Citation is the most personal Award Clubs SA can award to an individual. It is about recognising the outstanding contribution given to Clubs and thereby the Club Industry. To be eligible for a Citation the individual must have provided at least 10 years contribution to their Club in a voluntary basis.
5 individuals have been awarded a citation in 2011. The presentation of these citations took place in front of nearly 400 guests on Saturday the 12th of November during the 2011 Clubs SA Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner at Morphettville Racecourse.
The citation reads in part:
Through this Citation, the individual is acknowledged as a role model for other Club members in volunteerism, commitment, persistent constructive effort in making their Club, and thereby the Clubs of South Australia, vital and highly regarded community assets.
It is important to remember that the individual awarded a Citation is nominated by their peers within their Club, and Clubs SA joins this by recognising the nomination with this Citation. The Citation is also co signed by the Premier of South Australia - the Honorable Jay Weatherill MP.
