Objectives:
- Correctly interpret the legal responsibilities that relate to the sale and service of alcohol.
- Advise patrons on the effects of alcoholic beverages and the term "standard" drink.
- Demonstrate knowledge of various strategies for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits.
- Assess and monitor the levels of intoxication of Patrons.
This course is generally a requirement of the Office of Liquor and Gambling when applying for a Responsible Person's badge. The course does not entitle the attendee to automatic approval for this badge - the OLGC application process must still be followed.
