Clubs SA Community Awards

Unfortunately due to the impact of Covid-19 on the Club Industry in South Australia, the Annual Clubs SA Awards for Excellence has been cancelled.  However, the terrific work and incredible contribution Clubs make in their Communities on a daily basis has shone throughout these challenging times and as such the Clubs SA Community Awards have been created.  

The Clubs SA Community Awards ensure that the vital contribution by Clubs and Individuals throughout the past 12 months is acknowledged and celebrated.  There are 6 categories available for nomination, each requiring a brief questionnaire and submission;


The 'Outstanding Community Service' category acknowledges Clubs who provide outstanding and ongoing support to people in their community .

The 'Emergency & Disaster Relief' category acknowledges Clubs who have stepped up during these unprecedented times to support groups/individuals in times of crisis.

The 'Club's Unsung Hero' category acknowledges an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment and support of their Club and Community.  This individual can either be an employee or volunteer, but must be directly associated with the Club placing the nomination.

The 'Outstanding Club Leader' category acknowledges an individual in a leadership role (including Manager, Supervisor, Coach, Committee/Board Member) who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment and support of their Club and Community through times of crisis.

The 'Resilience & Adaptability' category acknowledges Clubs who have adjusted their business operations during times of crisis such as Bush Fires and the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The 'Best Club Improvement/Initiative' category acknowledges Clubs who implemented physical and/or operational change to improve the customer and member experience. This could be updates and renovations to Club facilities, a change in operations and activities, marketing initiatives during shut down etc.

All successful entrants will receive acknowledgement and recognition at the Clubs SA Community Awards Dinner on Wednesday the 11th of November which will be held in the Upper Derby Pavilion at the Morphettville Racecourse, where all nominations will be acknowledged with a Certificate of Achievement. 

With current pressures on Club resources and finances we have ensured that nominations are simple and easy to follow, providing a fully electronic process with minimal questions for each category.

We will also be providing each successful nomination with a complimentary ticket to the Community  Awards evening.  To ensure the viability of the event we will require a minimum number of nominations per category for the presentation evening proceed. Nominees will be informed directly of their ticket entitlement and further tickets will be made available in the October edition of Keeping In Touch.
