LIQUOR LICENSING LEGISLATION | WHAT NEXT?
On 2 October 2015, the State Government announced the first full scale review of South Australia’s liquor licensing laws in almost 20 years.
Following extensive consultation process, 129 amendments to the legislation were passed meaning huge changes for all liquor licensees including clubs. The first of these took effect in December 2017 with further amendments to be introduced in stages.
The impact on clubs so far has included changes to standard trading hours, the provision of entertainment and designated dining and reception areas.
The final stage will be implemented by November 2019.
This will mean Limited Club Licences will no longer exist and these clubs will be transitioned to a full club licence.
