Clubs SA Invests in KI’s Road to Recovery

While there are numerous avenues available to support residents and businesses affected by the tragedy caused by the bushfires on Kangaroo Island, Clubs SA, in conjunction with the AHA/SA, has focused on providing a practical and immediate response to the KI community.

When speaking with one of our members directly affected by the fires, Western Districts Memorial and Sports Club representative Greg Bald, he advised that one of the most immediate needs was that of power.

As the damage toll continues to be assessed, together we have invested in the purchase of twelve generators from local Kangaroo Island business ‘Ingrams Home Hardware’ in Kingscote.

These generators will be distributed to members of the community by Ingrams, in consultation with the CFS, to those most in need of power.

Whilst communities continue to reel from the devastation the fires have and are causing across many areas of our State, we know that this contribution will most support those affected to get back on their feet to start the road to recovery.

If your Club has been directly impacted by the bush fires and you require support or guidance we encourage you to contact Clubs SA on 8290 2200 or
