Clubs at Christmas
Clubs are vital hubs in their areas, providing a meeting place and social life for many in their communities who would otherwise be alone.
Many stay open over Christmas and New Year to provide a welcoming, safe place for those without friends or family nearby.
Para Hills Bowling Club is one such Club. We called in today and met bar manager, Brady.
Many of their Members are of senior years and the Club is keen to provide a good social environment and they'll be opening their doors regulalry over the festive season.
They welcome people to come along and try social bowls on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
We also met Geoff and friends at Para Hills Community Club who have been visiting the Club "for years!".
Geoff was very happy to pose with Santa and we have no doubt that everyone there will be having an enjoyable time.
