Small Business Sustainability Support Program

The Office for Small & Family Business has again announced the Small Business Sustainability Support program which will provide sustainability support and guidance to small and family businesses. The program will be delivered by sustainability experts 2XE.

As net-zero targets and reporting changes inevitably impact on supply chains, combined with the increasing importance of sustainability to consumers, a number of small businesses will need support in how to adapt accordingly.

The Small Business Sustainability Support program looks to assist small businesses increase their knowledge of environmental sustainability, understand its relationship to their business, and help build capability in adopting sustainable practices and reducing emissions.

This program also ran last year and 2XE provided a specific club focused workshop to several Clubs SA members which provided the attendees with some great information on steps they could take to be more sustainable and better prepare for a changing business environment.

This year free sustainability workshops are being held in several regional locations that people can register to attend. The locations chosen and the month they will take place are as follows:

May 2025 – Port Lincoln

June 2025 – Mount Gambier

July 2025 – Loxton

July 2025 – Murray Bridge

1 on 1 sustainability consultations can also be booked in which will better help identify where your club is at with its sustainability practices and opportunities that may exist.

At a later date some businesses will also have the opportunity to access a Business Sustainability Assessment at a subsidised cost of $500.
